Martham Broad is situated on the eastern side of the Broadland and is approximately 2 km north of Martham village. The broad is owned and operated by Norfolk Wildlife Trust and is split into two sections with the River Thurne running through the middle of it.
The broad, being a national nature reserve, features a wide variety of birds and wildlife. The water in the broad is very clear and by standing at the bank you can often see fish swimming around.
This collection of photographs was taken in early spring during a partially cloudy day whilst walking along the River Thrune near West Somerton and at the water’s edge of the broad.
