The weather conditions were rather mixed today being mainly overcast which I thought would be ideal for some moody long exposure photography at Happisburgh.
My main focus was to use the overcast sky to add a bit or drama to the shot with the combination of long exposures using the old and new sea defences as subjects.
Since my last visit, the beach has changed a lot as the huge boulders of granite have been moved closer to the cliffs in order for them to be more effective. You only have to take a walk near to the cliffs to see how bad the situation has become at Happisburgh due to coastal erosion. Walking along the base of the cliff you can still find rumnants of the homes which once sat on the cliff top.
I got some shots at the cliff base before moving on to the older sea defences which are now located far out in the sea.
